Growing in west Wales, singer and harpist Georgia Ruth became accustomed to sea mists and strange sounds. Having performed her hybrid of folk and blues at Sŵn Festival, Greenman Festival and at HMV’s Next Big Thing Festival, she has opened shows for artists such as Damien Jurado, Sweet Billy Pilgrim and Seth Lakeman. In 2011, her version of old Appalachian song, “Old Blue”, was chosen by Bethan Elfyn as “MPFree of the Day” on the 6 Music Morning Show. Recorded and produced by David Wrench in the winter- stillness of Snowdonia’s Bryn Derwen Studios, her In Luna EP was released on 10” vinyl and as a digital download earlier this year on Gwymon Records.
